Why Psychotherapy?

Are you experiencing anxiety or depression that no longer feels manageable?

Perhaps you are not sure why you find yourself in problematic relationships or taking part in unwanted behaviours?

Psychodynamic psychotherapy can help you reflect and understand what is going on and may provide relief, new perspectives and a more fulfilling life.

Through working together, psychodynamic psychotherapy can:

  • bring relief

  • reduce confusion

  • identify changes that can be made in your life

  • help you come to terms with what can't be changed

Research shows that psychodynamic psychotherapy is effective in the treatment of both mild and complex mental health problems.

Some of the issues I can help with include:

  • relationship problems

  • depression

  • anxiety

  • post-traumatic difficulties

  • personality difficulties

  • bereavement and loss

  • loneliness

  • anger

  • self-harm

  • low self-esteem

  • difficulties arising from abuse

  • stress

  • psychosomatic illness

How I work:

The first step is an initial phone call (free of charge) to set up consultation appointments in order to understand if psychodynamic psychotherapy is right for you. If we decide to continue working together, then we will agree on a set time to meet weekly. Each session is 50 minutes.
